Whittenberg managed construction of this major expansion of the Convention
Center located in downtown Louisville. A primary feature of the expanded
facility is the 144,000 square foot exhibit hall, which spans Third
St. 26 feet above street level. A 450 foot long "supertruss" spans
a city block to provide roof support above the exhibit hall, thus
allowing a column free space.
