Whittenberg Construction Company is the general contractor on The Cancer Center of Southern Indiana. It is a freestanding, 2-story concrete structure with brick and glass exterior and an 11-month construction schedule.
The facility will provide new offices for the oncology physicians of the center, along with housing Floyd Memorial Hospitals cancer treatment services. This will allow consultation, treatment and testing of cancer patients to be performed under one roof. New equipment to be used in this one of a kind facility in Southern Indiana is conventional X-ray equipment, a CT Scan, Simulator and Linear Accelerator.
