Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services has just completed its largest project ever: the construction of a $65 million dollar, 250,00 square-foot state of the art heart center.
The main features of the new Heart Center include two operating rooms to perform open-heart surgery, 16 beds for heart surgery patients, 24 treatment rooms, and a lobby and registration area. Also included in the project are the new 32
bed MedSurg Unit, Emergency Department, Women's Center and new Laboratory. The entire project was completed within 30 months. The design for this project is a joint venture between the architecture firms of Artekna and Laughlin Millea Hillman Architecture.
