The Galt House Hotel project at this time is primarily a total renovation of the East Suites. The renovation is transforming the entire building plus converting over 600 circa 1970's suites into the 2000's with enlarged bathrooms, parlors and a cheerful décor. Probably the most intriguing part to this project is the total renovation of the 70,000 square foot ballroom during a two-month period. Along with this work, a pedestrian bridge, with metal arches and glass artwork adorning the top, was built across Main Street to connect the Galt House Hotel with the Kentucky International Convention Center.
