The Skin Pass Mill, Melt Shop Building Foundations, EAF Melt Foundation and the Caster Foundation are four of the contracts awarded to Whittenberg Construction Co. within a nine-month period. These projects combined involved placing some 30,000 cubic yards of lineal feet of embed angle and plates. The shifting combination of schedule pressure, high capacity production, complicated and adverse work environments, hazard management and degree of difficulty in the more intricate work is providing a heavy duty illustration of Whittenberg's will and ability to perform under the special demands of heavy industrial construction.
